There are many industries that have decided to undertake va- rious actions that contribute to reduce the environmental impact. Waste separation is a fundamental task within the recycling pro- cess, in fact it is one of the most important, not only for the plastics industry, but also for waste landfills, facilitating waste treatment.
When materials are correctly separated, their treatment is much faster and simpler. In addition, as there is less waste, the appear- ance of pests, bad odors, gas emissions and pollutants in the soil, water and air are reduced.
